I purchased it from the original owner family and it was primarily used on their family ranch. It has a 345 V8, automatic transmission, PS, PB, front disc brakes, factory A/C, factory Dana 44 front & rear with automatic hubs. It has the original interior with bucket seats complete with working AM push button radio. Four-wheel drive works and the top comes off giving it another dimension of fun. Recent work includes new power brake booster and master cylinder, water pump, fuel pump and carb rebuild and oil, trans, and coolant fluid change-out. Work that it still needs include a small gas tank leak, which isn't a problem unless the tank is more than half full and a few other minor oil leaks from dried gaskets. It can be slow to start when cold, but once started it runs fine, probably a tune-up would help. I've done the necessary work so that it's road worthy as I believe it sat for awhile before I acquired it. It it a 38 year old truck that still needs a little attention but is at a good starting point. .The paint is just rattle can army green on the exterior, original orange on the painted interior portions, but could be made to be any color you want with a black interior. As rust can be a major issue on these old Scouts, this one has very minimal and minor amount. About a 2 inch blister of rust on the passenger side rocker panel and some surface rust at the base of the tailgate inside, but nothing rusted through. It's had a few small bondo repairs and the bumpers are a little nicked up, but this is a great old truck to restore, or just drive this time machine as is for cheap thrills. I also have larger 15 x 8 wheels (with bad tires), rollbar, tilt steering column and pointless ignition module that goes with the car for my selling price.
