PLEASE!!!!! DO NOT BID WITHOUT DUE DILIGENCE!!! I'm selling my 1955 desoto firedome poweflight 2 Door Hardtop V8 HEMI. it runs well has 73,160 original miles on it, though i screwed up and reversed it with the saftey brake on. now the brakes are out. To be honest I bought this car at an auction. I had a good bit of work done to it, to make it a daily driver. I had hopes of having a frame-off-restoration done and "giving" it to my boys when they got to highschool. Things have changed and we need a 2nd fuel efficient car. This car is not mint but super clean as is the chrome and interior with minor surface rust on the driver side door and passanger side undercarrage/door (very minor will get mor pics up). it is all origanal to my knowledge and very rare. I would love to keep it but due to the uncertain economy I have changed our family's long term goals. We are looking to pare down and cut unnecessary expenses. I don't know a whole lot about cars but I'll try to answer any questions as best as a can. While washing the desoto earlier today to get additional cosmetic photos (they will be up tomorrow after full sunlight) an insightful nieghbor happened by and we got to talking about/checking out the car. He seemed very knowledgable and has informed me that the problem with the breaks is the front driver's side wheel cylinder and that it has lost it's break fluid. This was in no way a paid for professional analysis by a certified mechanic but I thought this info would be appreciated by some also....
