Up for sale is this 1975 Honda CT Trail 70. We have had the bike for a number of years. I purchased it because of the awesome memories I had on a Trail 70 as a kid. Now, my kids have outgrown this one and we simply don’t have a use for it. I hope to find it a good home! We haven’t actually used it in two years but I just went out and took it for a little ride. It started on the second kick, ran great, but the carburetor definitely leaks gas out of the carburetor overflow line. Below I am sharing what I know about the bike. This bike is a 3-speed automatic (shift without a clutch). The bike is basically all original and in very good condition. The paint is in very good shape with only a few minor scratches given its age. The chrome is in great shape with next to no rust. All lenses are in good shape. The speedometer works and reads 1522 miles. The horn and brake lights work as well. The turn signals light up but you must manually turn the switch on and off to make them flash. (They do not blink on their own.) The handle bars fold down and are not bent in any way. The tires are worn but hold air and have some miles left in them. The seat has 3 (approximately 1”) tears in it but I have covered them with black electric tape so that they will not tear further. The rest of the seat is in great shape. The headlight, tail-light and some indicator lights in the speedometer do not work. I do not know if the bulbs are burned out or if it is an electrical issue. The high and low beam switch is missing its cover. The handle throttle sticks a little. When starting the bike, the kick starter does not always engage. It has been like this for several years. Both rubber boots on the front forks are torn. As I stated before, the carburetor leaks when the bike idols. It needs a carburetor kit. I have added the mirrors, passenger foot pegs and replaced the hand grips. Other than that, we have simply treated it with care while it has been in our possession. The title is clear and in my possession. I think I am the third owner of the bike. Please view the photos and email any questions that you may have.
