******1986 4 dr.VW GOLF DIESEL******** A very rare car, and almost non existant in this condition, I personally drove this car and thats the miles per gallon I got, consistantly. My grand parents bought this car NEW off showroom, They were old school dutch,my pap waxed his lawnmower and furnace, so that will give you an idea of how meticulously maintained this car was, oil change every 90 days, and w/ synthetic, as you see wth only 130k on it, they surely didn't drive it over 3k every 3 months, they did drive to see us in florida a few times. The clutch is great, interior phenominal, still looks n smells new. there is the very first bubble of rust forming over rear wheel well and there is a dent on fender by headlight,bought size of golfball maybe. It is no speed demon, but if you want a dependable car that will never die, save you a fortune in fuel, this is it. I make biodiesel, although I haven't used it in this yet, I have learned over the yrs wth biodiesel you can even get away with heating and filtering the oil extremely well and use a 50/50 mix oil to diesel, and that will put you in the 100mpg plus area, with NO MODS or HARM caused to motor. There are no odd sounds, knocks, shakes, shimmies of any kind, this is not only rare, but more rare in the condition and it will pay for itself in a few months with the way fuel is going up. They passed it went to my dad and my dad passed leaving it to me, he was 6'6, I am 6'8' so it's not exactly the car for us. I had wanted to keep it for my wife to use to commute, but as we all know that doesn't last forever either. Again, this car was meticulously maintained by my Pap, and has one rust bubble over left rear wheel well, and a scratch on hatch.It was always in a heated garage its entire life and only seen snow n rain if caught in it while out, which by mileage you can see wasn't very often. There are two small dents on forward most part of fender by headlights. I was told these were caused when last taken to a garage for a alignment, they didnt retract locks on the lift and they hit fenders at same spot on both fenders, as you can see in pic, they a minimal.I did auto glass for 13 yrs all over eastern pa and have NEVER a VW especially of this YR in such good shape, especially around windshield, most are all rusted out and leaking due to the design on how it sits recessed in the pinchweld.
