Thanks for looking over my auction for this original and unmolested 1984 W123 Mercedes 300CD Turbo Coupe. This vehicle has the original paint and interior and for being 28 years old it is in very nice original condition. I have always admired all of the Mercedes Benz Automobiles from the 1980's and especially these W123 coupes. I purchased this car about about a year and a half ago because it is in such nice original condition. Many of the cars of this vintage have been repainted and modified, and well abused. Mercedes only sold 8007 of the 123 series coupes with the turbo diesel engine and there are just not that many around with low miles like this car or in the condition this coupe is in.I intended to do a complete and correct no expense spared restoration, but I have way too many other things going on and need to be realistic in what I have time for. This car has lived its entire life in the desert southwest. It was delivered new via the european delivery program. The original owner took delivery of the car at the factory in Stuttgart Germany. I have the original documents including the the Owners and Service manuals with the dealership stamps showing the car has been correctly and properly maintained. The car has brand new pirelli tires on it with less than 1,000 miles. These are the correct tires. The paint on the cowl and a small area of the hood is starting to get thin, after all it is original and 28 years old. For the most part the exterior is excellent save a minor door ding. All the exterior plastic and chrome is in good condition. The car is equipped with the european headlight system - I think it looks cooler than the round headlights. There are some minor trim pieces of plastic on the interior area that need to be dealt with, nothing major I just want to be honest about the condition. All the upholstery and carpets are original and again in good condition. The engine bay is spotless and as perfect as could be. Mechaincally the car is in excellent condition, it starts runs and shifts properly. without any leaks. As this is a desert car, there is ZERO RUST all the sheetmetal is as solid as can be. The sunroof operates properly. The air conditioning and heat works properly but there is an issue with the way the air is delivered from the correct vents - I am told this is a minor issue with the pnuematic system and not a major deal. The central locking system as well as the cruise control work correctly. The drivers side front and rear side windows need to be adjusted so they close properly, again not a major issue or expense to fix, but want to let you know.
