The odometer reads a little over only 47,000 miles and believed to be the true mileage. I have really enjoyed driving this car. I’m selling it out of my car collection of 40 cars to try another one of my dream cars. (40 is my self imposed limit, though I said that when I reached 30!) The visibility and driving position are truly enjoyable. The original steering wheel fits well in your hands and the pedal layout is great for heel and toe shifting, too. Enzo Ferrari himself decided on the pedal’s position and the interior layout. The engine revs to redline with no hiccups and the Borla exhaust system has truly enhanced that magical Ferrari sound. Find your favorite tunnel and feel the hair on the back of your neck stand on end as you make the 2nd to 3rd gear change at full throttle! The gated gear lever is crisp and smooth, though just like every Ferrari of this era, the gearbox likes to be warmed up first as you head into 2nd gear. With most exotics it’s hard to see outside. Yet the 308GT4 dispels that myth with a wonderful greenhouse and fantastic vision. The forward driving position reminds me of an F1 car of the early 80’s, and the wide windshield and thin A-pillars of the 308 GT4 gives you a great view to the outside. The large side and rear glass area makes it easy to see all around the car, making it easy to change lanes or park in tight spaces. The carpets are clean and appear to be original. The rear seats are in fantastic shape, though the drivers front shows a little wear on the side bolster, though nothing like the other beaters I’ve seen. This car has always been taken car of… New Michelin XWX tires ($2,400 alone!) are fitted to refinished Cromodora alloy wheels that have zero curb damage and look perfect. The car has a good “driver quality” paint with no signs of crash damage in its past, so you can enjoy driving it without worrying about road rash. Paint it to perfection later if you need to impress the concours crowd. All of the glass is in great shape with no cracks in the windshield. The car starts up every time once the float bowls are full. Turn the key to the first click and hear the fuel pump engage…tick, tick ,tick… one more click for the starter to engage and it bursts into life! (Part of the magical starting process that makes these cars so engaging.) You’ll feel something move in your pants as you start revving it up… I don’t drive it enough and need to make room in my garage for the next car! Help me find a new home for it. I’m sure you will enjoy this car as much as I have. All in-person inspections are welcome and encouraged, by appointment only. You can even use our lift if so inclined! The vehicle, its description and photos are accurate and honestly represented. And, like every other car of this era, is sold without warrantee on a “as is where is basis”. Please feel free to contact Tim at 253-203-1472 with any questions. This is a no reserve auction so please only bid if you are prepared to complete the purchase transaction of this vehicle.
