If you have been looking for a Land Rover 109 that is ready to take exploring, than you have found your vehicle. Rarely will you find a classic Land Rover Series IIA that is 100% rust free and was built with the intensions of designing an adventure ready vehicle. The accessories added to this amazing Land Rover seem to never end. The roof rack was designed and built in Germany out of aircraft grade aluminum with all TIG welding. It has a locking system to secure 6 gerrycans. Mounted on the rack are 4 KC daylighters facing forward and 2 auxiliary lights facing out the back. Access to the safari rack is made easy by a rear ladder provided by Rovers North. On the front sits a fully custom bumper, housing an XRC8 Smittybuilt 8,000 lbs winch and another 2 auxiliary lights. Bolted on top is a factory Land Rover Defender brush guard, manufactured for the Defender 90. The Dunlop All Terrain tires are brand new and have less than 1,000 miles on the road. The brakes were all replaced at the same time, and stop this Rover on a dime. The suspension was replaced is 2004 with a custom Old Man Emu 2” lift parabolic leaf spring conversion. This allows much more travel of the axels when offroad and a smoother ride on road. The engine powering this amazing offroad machine is a fully rebuilt Chevy 250 inline six cylinder with nearly 70 more horsepower than the original engine. The exhaust was just replaced and sounds great. The engine fires up on the first twist of the key and runs smooth. It is coupled to the original 4spd transmission and Land Rover transfer case. The four wheel drive works perfectly in 4High and 4Low. This great combination can propel this Land Rover 109 through the thickest jungle, driest desert, etc. The interior is brand new and 100% custom. The dash was built for this Rover to express the simplicity of the Defender and capture the comfort of this 109. A DUAL stereo MP3 CD Radio Ipod stereo was added to make the journey more pleasurable. The first two rows of seating were converted to a total of 6 buckets in waterproof black marine vinyl. The rear fold down bench seats hold another 4 passengers and were recovered in the same black vinyl. All of the door panels were custom designed for this vehicle. The headliner was redone in gray marine vinyl to accent the exterior color. The flooring is covered in high grade black diamond plate rubber. The rubber was provided by American Rubber Company and is designed for commercial flooring use. This amazing 109 is ready for your adventures, win this auction and go explore the world.
