DTS - L8 Extended Wheelbase Sedan Incredible Rearseat Legroom! We are offering at auction, to the highest bidder, a spotless 2008 Cadillac DTS-L8 Long Wheelbase Sedan. We sold this car new and just took it back in trade against a brand-new, identical 2011 Cadillac DTS-L8. Federal Coach, LLC, a Cadillac certified MasterCoachbuilder stretches the car 8" behind the rear doors in what is called the "dogleg" area (this is the sail panel and lower/rear quarters). By doing this the car has incredible rear seat legroom. Federal Coach charges $12,000 for this conversion. Extending the car this way is also called a "doublecut". The advantage to this over stretching the rear doors is that the rear doors are 100% OEM. In the event of a crash the door off any other DTS will fit this car. You will not need to locate custom manufactured rear doors. OEM doors provide additional strength, durability, and reliability. In addition there are outboard armrests for the rear seat passengers as well as overhead omni-directional lamps. The rear cabin has custom manufactured carpeted floor mats to cover the additional floorspace. This car is in excellent condition inside and out. There was one small scratch on the r/r and I have done my best to show that slight imperfection in my pictures. We invite you to visit and test drive this car.
