Vehicle Detail
1970 Mustang Boss 302 - Original. This Boss 302 still wears it original red paint on it's original body panels (still has it's original rolled front fenders). There has been no rust repair and the body is still solid. The interior is still original and the standard vinyl still looks very nice. The engine is original along with it's 4 speed top loader. The Marti report is included in the pictures below showing all the options it had (not many of them). The vehicle was purchased in Tennessee and has been there most of it's life until I purchased it a couple of years back. All the gauges and lights work, the glass is also in good shape. There are some items that are not original on the Boss such as the carburetor, exhaust manifolds (it has headers on it), the distributor, and it has a blow proof bell housing on it. I am the 7th owner of the vehicle and it is part of my personal collection. The only reason for selling this original one is because I purchased a Grabber Green Boss with quite a few more options on it. Here is some of the history on the Boss: Sold new from Hull Dobbs Ford in Memphis, TN 1st Owner - Memphis, TN - Purchased on 12/23/69 - Have not gotten the name of the owner yet 2nd Owner - Jackson, TN - Raced the car on occasion according to the 3rd and 4th owners3rd Owner - Mr. Hall - Owned it for 9 years and stored in his garage most of the time.4th Owner - Mr. Hardin - Mt. Juliet, TN - Was friends with the 3rd owner. Painted the engine black to match the engine compartment. Installed a 3.89 gear and a Tac drive distributor. Installed speakers in the rear quarter panels. 5th Owner - Mr. Stacey - Murfressboro, TN - Raced the car on occasion. 6th Owner - Mr. Shreve - Shelbyville, TN - Purchased June 097th Owner - Mr. Reynolds - Richmond Hills, GA - Purchased 12/21/09. Sold it shortly after (to me) to purchase a Mopar product (most of his collection is Mopars) I have only driven it about 400 miles since I purchased it in March 2010. The Boss runs great and shifts fantastic. It has newer Magnum 500s on it (not sure where the originals are) and it came with Magnums from the factory. There are a few dings around the car and the paint is faded from sitting in the sun over the last 40 years. The black on the hood and trunk are mostly worn off and the paint on the rear spoiler is worn off from the sun. It has a newer gas tank in it and it has aftermarket mufflers (sounds good). Hate to sell this original Boss because they are only original once, but don't need both of them.
