1995 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1 - Daily DriverLT1 engine and a 6-speed manual transmission (T56)This car is BBHP #17I bought this car ( bigfastcar . com / turnkey . asp ) in March of 2004 w/ 113,000 miles. 22,500 miles and 8 years later, I am offering it for sale to the highest bidder. There is a very low reserve price - well below what all the parts may be worth individually.Much of the original description still applies:This car has a ton of performance mods, and handles incredibly well. The 6 speed is a perfect combination with the heavily upgraded suspension. The engine is bone stock but runs very strong.The performance mods add up to over $7,000 in parts.Performance modifications: * 6 speed transmission - 22.5K miles with Viper steel 3/4 shift fork * SPEC Stage 2 clutch, 22.5K miles * 135,500 miles total, 30,500 of which are on the 6 speed conversion * 4.10 rear gears, with OEM bearings and seals, ABS retained with custom reluctor * Dynotech high speed balanced driveshaft * Flowmaster cat-back exhaust system, with stainless ends * 17" Black Impala wheels, Nitto NT450 Extreme 275/50/17 tires (that need to be replaced) * 13" front Wilwood brake rotors, with aluminum 4 piston calipers * Braided brake lines, front and rear * Rear slotted rotors * BMR billet lower control arms (+3/4" length) with J&M adjustable upper rear control arms * HO Racing / Herb Adams front 1 3/8" and rear 1 1/2" anti-sway bars * Bilstein 0929 & 1104 shocks * 22.5K miles on bushings and ball joints in the front suspension, with the larger size lower ball joints from the factory (5/8") * 9C1 HEAVY DUTY springs * Metco driveshaft safety loop * K&N air filter on MAF on throttle body * Hurst Billet Plus Shifter * New Opti-spark, spark plugs, and water pump installed @ 100,000 miles * Magnecor plug wires * XM Satellite Radio, Pioneer CD head unit with detachable face, and Polk 3-way 6"x9" speakers in rear (stock speakers in front) * Torsen rear positraction w/ 22.5K miles * Air conditioning works very well, very cold - new compressor * Newer catalytic converters w/ less than 11K miles * Passed CA SMOG - Jan 2012 * New radiator * New Battery * Corvette starter Appearance: * White exterior with blue cloth interior * Rubber 9C1 flooring * Leather rear seat * Interior is in okay shape overall * Former police vehicle: Unit # 171 Borough of Pemberton, New Jersey * Spotlight has been painted black * '91 Caprice tail lights * LTZ hood badge * Corvette fender flags * Analog dash pod with illuminated white gauge face (illumination sometimes works, sometimes doesn't work) * Auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass, thermometer, and UV meterIssues: * Holes in the body: roof, trunk, top edge of driver's side rear quarter panel, all from the police * Dents: oil can dent on lower part of passenger side rear door (see picture), both driver's side doors slightly bumped in, minor ding on top edge of trunklid, minor dings on passenger side front fender, small ding on top of driver's side front fender * 2" of paint peeled on passenger side rear quarter panel, caused by removal of police decals * Driver's side lock shows evidence of break in attempt * Small tear on headliner, over passenger side rear door * Cruise control was not installed in this car at the factory.
