Up for sale is my 1997 Volvo 850 T-5 wagon. The car is driven daily unless there is a snowstorm in which I drive my pickup truck the volvo was garaged most of last winter due to the salt and weather. All the maintenance is recent and up to date it gets synthetic oil oil changes every 3k miles always gets 93 octane fuel fuel system cleaner is used regularly , the car is serviced by one of my customers a local Volvo specialist. I am getting rid of this car because I recently inherited a newer vehicle ( 2002 ford Taurus ) it is definitely not as high quality of a car but I could use the money and just drive the less valuable Ford Taurus . if I had the space and could afford it I would keep the Volvo as well. The volvo just passed a NH state safety and emissions inspection with flying colors. Recent work on car in the past 6 months includes, Volvo dealer did the fuel tank recall , new right axle, Transmission was flushed and replaced with factory synthetic volvo fluid, ft right lower control arm, ft right lower engine mount, front lower trans mount new exhaust flex section starter and heater blower motor. 1/25/10 front upper spring seats installed. 1/27/12 vapor canister purge valve was replaced. Brand new kicker 12 " sub 2/20/12. New hatch latch and rear retaining clips installed 2/20/12 Work done in the past 12 months includes, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, air filter was serviced at every oil change ( it is a K&N) , drivers side axle, drivers side wheel bearings, all tires were replaced ( would still recommend replacing again eventually the tires are a noisy lower quality tire) brake pads and rotors ( upgrades) all fuel hoses and the filler neck and were replaced leading to the fuel tank it had a leak so i had them do all the hoses and volvo fuel cap to be safe and it received an alignment when the tires were installed . A list of aftermarket parts, Rica performance engine computer programing , it has older Billstein heavy duty struts with newer Eihbach performance springs ( very rigid suspension), Eastern Aerospace front strut bar, IPD over sized front sway bar with heavy duty sway links, Royalty big brake kit drilled and slotted over sized 302mm brakes , Genuine Volvo 17" Pegasus R rims, Car has factory cd/casette player with all aftermarket speakers amp and sub woofer integrated into the stereo, K&N filter , urethane upper mounts and torque strut, 2.5" Italian Super sprint stainless converter back exhaust, Msd Blaster ignition coil with IPD over sized silicone wires and Curt roof rack with Factory Volvo load bars. Hella aftermarket headlight bulbs This very able to move out of its own way while maintaining the volvo feel and getting an average of 25mpg highway The Volvo also placed first this summer in a European car show in its class and plaque will come with the car. The upgrades cost well over $3,000 over the course of time but thats what realy makes this car so enjoyable. This vehicle with the suggested modifications by Rica produces 288 Horsepower and 301 ft pouds of torque If i were to rate the aspect of the car it would be as follows. Interior of body and panels 10 - no rust on the inside of the panels under the doors. Undercarriage 10 -( no rust at all ) FORMER CALIFORNIA/TEXAS REGISTERED VEHICLE Interior 7 - ( front leather seats are worn trunk area has a few small stains, cigarette lighter clip is cracked as well as a small chip in on the drivers door handle molding I am a non smoker everything works) Engine compartment 9.5- ( its very clean and very well kept Wheels 9- ( very few chips ) Tires 6 -( very noisy cheap summer tires) Engine 10- ( its a Volvo for goodness sakes and Ive never had an issue with it) Paint 8.5- Very shiny Not Faded at all ,it has 2 dings a few lower scratches on front bumper the rear bumper has a somewhat deep scratch and a little pitting on the hood . Windshield 7- has 2 small chips ( pictured) and a little pitting from highway driving i do not think replacement is necessary but I would pay the glass guy the 50 to repair the chip before it could crack. The not so bad but you should know list Car has no key fob ($120 @ dealer) Tires are noisy .Timing Belt and water pump were done @ 142015 miles in 2005 3rd row seat is removed due to amp stereo setup in its place E bay's vehicle report states and odometer discrepancy, the P/O is a former co worker of mine and he was to one who performed the repair on the broken speedometer gear THE VEHICLE MAY HAVE AT MOST 10,000 MILES OVER THE STATED MILEAGE. The current title is clean and clear. 3 very chipped chrome 17" Pegasus rims will be included with the sale. and one 16" titan wheel. as well as a few spare parts buyer is responsible for delivery if you want the car you need to arrange for shipping or come pick it up, the car is very reliable I would drive it anywhere and expect no issues. if i need to meet an auto shipper in a parking lot I can do that for you.
