Up for auction is one 1965 Buick Skylark convertible. I found this vehicle on Ebay two years ago in New York. According to the previous owner I am the third owner of the vehicle. It was somewhat restored when the previous owner bought it and when that occured I am not sure. I have some pictures that he gave me when it was done. The car had originally a 300ci V8 with a powerglide transmission. He put in a 307ci small block chevy engine (1973 is the date code I got off the block)with a turbo 350 transmission. It has posi traction rear end (not sure the ratio but its low geared). The body needs work as you can see in the pictures. There is rust spots and the previous bodywork is starting to show thru. The frame has had some reinforcement done to it (prior to me getting it) due to rust but it looks solid. The heater core has been replaced according to the previous owner. The convertible top works great. The motor was apparently rebuilt prior and by the way it runs I have a feeling it has. The car is a driver and with some TLC could be much more. Since I bought it I have replaced the rear shocks (air), all 4 tires (last year) and a fuel pump (because of oil leakage). The carburetor is a Rochester Quadrajet but the choke is not hooked up. Everything except the cig. lighter and reverse lights work. The previous owner gave me some spare parts (instrument cluster, trim parts,one hydraulic ram and various manuals). Its not a show car but will turn heads! I have this vehicle listed locally so the aution may end at anytime. Im selling her due to financial issues otherwise I wouldn't be doing this. Im not hiding anything with this vehicle so what you see is what you get.
