Here we have a nice complete 1974 Triumph Spitfire 1500 with only 35573 Actual Miles. Car was last licensed in 1989 and has been stored inside till now. When I got the car, the only thing missing was the starter. I purchased a new starter and it is in the front seat. Here's the story: I got this from an older couple who were finally moving and downsizing. In the late 80's their 2 boys were very mischevious and would take the car without permission. They were quite ingenious and could even start it without the key. Finally the father took the starter out and hid it so they could not drive it. They went off to college and the car sat without the starter till now, it got lost over the years. Unfortunately while sitting all the years, the motor is stuck. I tried a wrench on the crank pulley and could not get it to turn. I did not try very hard and have removed the seats and inside rear panels to get a good look at the floorboard and trunk. I thought I would fix it up, but just don't have the time. One dent on the very front nose of the car as shown. There are 2 holes in the trunk floorboard, and one small hole on the passenger floorboard. Other than that, very little rust anywhere, it was stored in Longmont, Colorado all these years and it is incredible how rust free the climate is here on the front range of the Rockies. The top and top cover are all there, but the windows have cracked out of the top. The seats are loose and the interior rear panels are loose, however, everything is there and very easy to put back. Wonderful restoration project and takes up very little room compared to others. I put a battery in and turned on the key and all electronics are working fine. Looks like it was painted once.
