1973 Mustang Fastback X- Drag Car is in fair condition. This car will need a complete restoration which ever way you choose to go. This car is being relisted with improvements due to a non-paying bidder. PLEASE If your not going to follow through with the terms of the sale DO NOT BID!!! Because of the previous Non-Paying bidder any bidders with less than 10 feedbacks and a 100% rating will need approval to bid on this item. If you bid without contacting me for approval your bid will be cancelled. Now for details on the car it would be easier to go back to a drag racing car. Going original fastback would be a long road due to a lot of the original parts missing. This car is a mostly complete rolling shell. There are rust out issues with all 4 floors the driver's side front is the worst (replace). The other 3 could be patched they just have minor spots that need attention. The floors also have plates welded in them where the roll bars once where. The previous owner cut them out. He said they didn't meet NHRA regs. any more. The left rear 1/4 needs to be patched or replaced due to rust out. Both doors have rust out in the front and rear corners. These could be repaired and the glass does roll up and down in both doors. The trunk floor has rust out and it has also been modified for a fuel cell and battery mounting. The trunk jam that holds the weather strip is rusty and will need repair. There is also a rear cutoff switch in the back panel. I think that pretty much covers the bad. The front fenders, front and rear frame rails, rocker panels, inner fender wells, hood, front valance and roof are all good. The right rear 1/4 has been fixed, it wasn't showing any rust out so I did clean it up and prime it. However with regards to the 1/4 panels, they both have bondo with the rear valance being molded in. They have also had the wheel opening lip cut, narrowed, and rolled under. This opens the wheel house for the slicks so they don't rub. The slicks are 9.00x15s Firestone Drag 500s on standard wheels with screws in the outer lip to avoid slipping. The car now has a B/M shifter assembly with cable, an Auto Meter Tach., and a MSD coil. This car has had the original dash and wiring removed and replaced with a lighter modified version. All the wiring that's still in the car is taped up under the dash. With the original dash gone the dash plate VIN is gone. However both VINs on the inner fender wells match the title. The original buck tag is also still on the car and it matches the title. I do have an original dash frame with wiring I'll throw in if you want it. The doors are off another car so the door tag does not match. The rear interior of the car is pretty rough it will need some work to clean it up. The back seats and trim panels are still in the car and useable. Under the car it has drum brakes all the way around. It has a 9" rear end with no center chunk. I have several drum to drum 9" rear ends you can choose one so you'll have a center chunk to build. These are just 28 spline open with 2.75 or 2.78 gears No posi or 31 spline. The car also has sub-frame connectors and a drive shaft hoop. I've put forth the effort to to describe this car the best I can PLEASE if you have any questions Ask. I'll be more than happy to answer any thing I know about the car. The car does roll freely and steer, it will be easy to load on your trailer at time of pick up.
