Top of the line 1948 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special in dark metallic green color. This the first change in styling since 1942 and also the last of the 346 ci flathead engines. Truly a distinctive style with automatic transmission and power windows. Also this model was the first to come out with what Cadillac called "rear rudder fenders", later known as fins, which went well with the long trunk. Cadillac used this styling for only two years, (1948 and 1949), however, the difference on the outside was minimal. The biggest change was their change to a smaller overhead valve engine (331 ci) which many did not like at first, otherwise it was hard to tell the difference between the two model years. As you can see from the pictures, this Caddy was well cared for, garaged and run little. The inside is in very good condition, no tears anywhere in the upholstery. The underside of car is very clean. I bought this car a little over a year ago from a dealer in Florida, and put around 200 miles on it, and it ran good. Never had a chance to use it much and am now forced to sell it. The tires are 8.20 x 15 and almost new, the hubcaps are the very popular sombrero style full cover which were used in previous years. Will sell only to United States buyer.
