Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1982 Corvette Collector Edition to the highest bidder. Please note that this was a special model that had exclusive paint and interior colors. It is one of 5,769 made that year, and the only production C3 Corvette with T-tops and an opening rear hatch. I became the proud owner of this car in the summer of 1995 when the car had 8,550 original miles. I bought the car after several months of research. I found it in a Hemming's Magazine add. I have all the documentation from the sale to the original owner. He was an employee at GM. The car was then sold to the man I bought the car from. He lived in Michigan. The car was stored in a heated garage. The car was delivered to me in an enclosed tractor trailer. It had been his 4th vehicle and was driven only on weekends. I have keep the car in my garage since 1995. I take it out for short drives and for car shows. I have put an additional 9,300 miles on it. The car is 98% original. The original tires were cracking from age, and were replaced with four new Goodyear GT II's. They still have thousands of miles of tread left. All fluids were replaced when I received the car and the brakes and shocks were serviced and replaced as well. The oil was changed every 3000 miles afterwards. There is a new Diehard battery in the battery well. The car has been in several local car shows and has earned 2nd and 3rd place trophies. It did not win first prize because there is a scratch at the peak of the front bumper which can be fixed by repainting. The original seat upholstery is in need of replacement and the plastic hook on one of the rear compartment doors is cracked. I have black custom fit vinyl seat covers in place which give the car a stock appearance. The cars runs excellently. In fact one of the best things about the car is the engine which sounds great especially on start up. Do not believe the negative comments written about cross-fire injection. When the two throttle bodies are synced properly, the car runs like a dream. All options work including the AC, power windows, drivers seat, original Delco AM/FM radio/cassette, power antenna, lighted vanity mirror, etc. The rear 6X9" speaker's have been replaced with new upgraded units. It has the origional spare tire in its carrier. This is a "survivor" that would be great for an NCRS or a Bloomington Gold event. I am selling it to make room in my garage for my wife's new vehicle. Please take a look at the photos as they provide what the proverb says, "a thousand words." I have all records of service plus the original manuals and two sets of keys. This car was featured in the Canadian magazine Shark Quaterly several years ago.
