He did not renew his driver's license last year, and this is the reason for selling the car. The car is located in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. I last saw the car in late October 2011 during a visit to Arizona. My father-in-law and stepmother-in-law are currently in Lake Havasu City for the winter; I live in northern Illinois. The car was originally purchased new in 1994 by his daughter, a real estate agent in the Seattle, Washington, area. When she upgraded in 1999 to a larger Mercedes, she drove the C220 down to Lake Havasu City, where he lives during winter. She put on most of the miles (mostly highway miles). She maintained the car well and kept good records of service expenses for tax purposes. A couple of years ago, she shredded her business files from 2000 and prior, so I cannot furnish the records. She does recall that she had the transmission rebuilt prior to driving the car down to Arizona. The car is clean and in very good shape as documented in the pictures. The nearest Mercedes dealer is in Las Vegas, 120 miles away, so some recent issues (check engine light, vacuum door locks) have not been addressed. A Mercedes dealer in Chandler, Arizona, is offering a similar car for a Buy-It-Now price of $4,995 (see eBay item number 37058218372). The reserve price on my auction has been set according to eBay guidelines for a used car, so the winning bidder will likely get the car for well under the price on the listing in Chandler, Arizona. $500 deposit to my PayPal account within 48 hours. Cashier's check or Postal Money order for the balance within seven days of winning bid. Winning bidder must arrange for pick up in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, by the end of March. I will assist in coordinating with my in-laws.
