You are bidding on a 1997 Honda Civic. Two owners. My sister and me. It has 282,766 miles. It does run. I bought it from my sister for my daughter when she turned 16 years old. She has been driving it for the past five years. I bought my daughter another Honda for Christmas so I need to get rid of this one. Some newer items are: Radiator, thermostat, exhaust system (from headers back, just months old), electrical harness (a couple years old.) I have not put a timing belt on this car. I have had it since about 209,000 miles. I don't know if one was put on before then either. At times, it grinds going into 5th gear. I have been told it may be a bushing or synchronization issue? I don't know and I have not taken it to be looked at for that problem. The rear brake shoes were replaced in January 2010. The starter was replaced in January 2010. The alternator belt was replaced in June 2009. The oil pan gasket was replaced in April 2008 As you can see from the pictures it has some damage. My daughter hit a deer and tore off the passenger mirror and dented the front right fender. There is some oxidation on the roof of the car. There is some surface rust by the passenger window on the door. Because of the damage to the fender, it rubs against the passenger door when you open the door. But, you can get in and out of the passenger door. There is also a small dent in the rear left quarter panel. There are other minor dents, scratches and scrapes due to wear and tear over time. The interior is in fair shape. No major tears. The driver side visor needs to be replaced because of torn fabric. There are a couple of tears in the ceiling fabric which are in the photos as well. The A/C and heater work. It has an AM/FM/CD stereo in the dash. The CD player is behind the faceplate which folds down. Circuit City installed the stereo. I wasn't all that happy with the install over time, as we have had issues with the antennae staying hooked up. However, it still works. There may be an oil leak. I just don't know where. And, one mechanic told me that the control arm on the left rear wheel may be bent. I don't know how that happened. Again, my daughter has been driving this car for five years. Overall it has been a decent car for my daughter to drive but I thought it was best to get her another Honda instead of putting more money into this car as it has its age and miles. The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle. I will NOT ship. A $500 deposit needs to be made to my Paypal account within 24hrs of the close of the bidding. The vehicle will not be released until it is paid in full. I will only accept cash. The same thing is on in another Honda of mine and I have found after a diagnostic check and talking to Honda, it is most likely a seatbelt issue. The seatbelt should be a warranty item and would be a free fix by the dealership if that is the case. Overall it has been a decent car for my daughter to drive but I thought it was best to get her another Honda instead of putting more money into this car as it has its age and miles.
