RARE FIRST ISSUE GSXR 1100. THE FIRST GSXR sold to the public. Essentially a race bike with lights. Notorious "climb for the sky" cam, and monster headlights not available on subsequent models. Used as SoCal freeeway commuter for 42,000 miles in the late 80's. Has recently gone through general safety checkup, tune, chain, bearings, brakes, tires, etc., with everything in good or new condition throughout. Ready to ride. Some paint chipping on front fender. Never dropped. After-market steering damper was necessary and works fine to 180 mph (indicated). Otherwise all original. No rear seat cover. I hate to sell this collectors' item. When young and poor I always wanted a really fast, good handling motorcycle, and this was the one I bought when I finally grew up. I've had several GSXRs since, but I never wanted to part with both Suzuki's and my very first one. I haven't ridden it in over a year, and sitting in the garage gathering dust is too ignoble an end. Someone should enjoy it, either to ride or as a collector.
