1957 Chevrolet Bel AirWell I'm sure no expert on old classics, but I acquired this car from a friend who has owned it for many years. This car is what I call "barn fresh". It has basically been sitting idle, and in storage for over 10 years. The car was moved about 2 or 3 months ago and was jumped started and driven around the block. First I will list the minuses as I see them. The driver side window is cracked and the upholstery is old but all original. The car was repainted many years ago but is the original color. It is missing the radio and the air cleaner is not the original. Now I will list the pluses as I see them. This car is a very un-molested, almost 100% complete and original survivor. It has just over 89,000 original miles on it. This is an original 220 horsepower/ power pack / turbo thrust car. It is an all original matching numbers car (see my data sheet photo). It's sure not perfect, and won't win any beauty contests, but I am selling it as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst and hope for the best than be disappointed in any way. My opening bid is $3,250 with no reserve. This car is 55 years old, and has been in a dry Colorado climate its whole life. Its not perfect, but overall, it's a very rust free car. What rust it may have is very minimal. This car is very solid and has never been wrecked. I'm sure this car will need a new battery, fresh gas, fresh fluids, etc. I have no doubts that someone more mechanical than myself could have it up and going again in short order. (If I do not sell it "as-is", I will have my mechanic get it running and re-list it that way). I reserve the right to end this auction early due to an interested collector in Denver. I honestly can not imagine finding a nicer, more un-molested, or numbers matching 57 Chevy like this for the price. I only want the buyer to be as excited as I was when it came my way. I have tried my best to accurately and fairly describe this car to the best of my knowledge. Thanks. I have a clear and open Colorado title for this car. Terms of sale I can not ship.....
