up for sale is my 1957 chevy truck. I've owned this truck since 1977, I completely rebuilt the truck in '88 including fresh wiring, front king pins and steering tie rod ends also installed mono leaf springs front and rear, rebuilt the rear end new bearings gear (3:90:1) and brakes, the steering box was also rebuilt at that time. since then I've rebuilt the 350 engine mostly stock with an R/V cam, holley 600cfm carb, headers flowmaster 40 series mufflers and muncie 4 speed transmission, the clutch was also replaced at that time with a new hays pressure plate disc and throw out bearing. I've driven the truck about 40k miles since rebuilding the engine - it runs perfect!! the body work was done by me in '88 - I used new fenders in the bed, the rest of the sheet metal is outstanding. this has been a so-cal truck its whole life so there were only a couple of small door dings. (Currently two small spots of rust on the drivers side fender - easy fix)) I used aluminum diamond plate in the bed so I could use the bed without fear of scratching the wood. the interior was also redone in '88 the original seat was re-upholstered in grey tweed with grey nylon carpet. the dash is all original (has never been cut up for a stereo). the speedo gauge cluster is also original to the truck I installed fresh fuel,amps,oil and temp gauges in '88. the glass has been replaced with laminated/tinted glass in the doors wind wings and rear. the windshield is new installed in 2000. also all the weather stripping has been replaced as has the door strikes and openers along with all the window mechanisms. the truck runs and drives as good as new and is completely reliable it uses regular gas and gets ok milege, I've used this truck as a daily driver on and off for the last 35 years. like alot of people during these challenging times I need the money for medical bills.
