Car was repainted at some time...as with any car it can look much better in a photograph than in person. This paint job is NOT a show paint job but it is very shiny and appears to be holding up very well. The metal of the car is well protected. 2. I do not have any service records for this car3. Please look at photo of right rear wheel well...there is some rust bubbling through the paint4. See photo of ignition key switch which shows wood piece missing5. Ignition switch must have been replaced at some time and I only have 1 key that fits. I only have one other key that fits the left door lock. These are the only keys I have. I do have the original owner's manual and books. 6. Spare parts included are 5 new glow plugs and a new set of front and rear brake pads. 7. I understand the brake master cylinder was replaced recently. The car stops straight, smooth, and without vibration. The brake pedal feels soft. 8. The car needs a little TLC to be a very dependable daily driver at a minimal cost. OTHER FACTORS TO CONSIDER many Mercedes owners consider this to be one of the very best, most dependable, and trouble free Mercedes ever builtthe interior is good to very good ...the seats are not broken down in any waythe dash is NOT cracked... many surviving 300 SDs do have cracked dashboardsall lights are working, the radio is an aftermarket radio and it works although the right front speaker needs to be replaced, all windows operate, the doors lock and unlock by vacuum via the keythe battery was replaced within the past yearthe heater / ac climate control appears to be working as the temperature changes by adjusting the control....the blower motor is working and the fan control push buttons work the car sold for nearly $40,000 in 1982. you are welcome to inspect it in person in Annapolis, MD.
