For sale is this 1996 Cavalier. It belonged to my brother in-law's mother since new. We are the second owner. We bought the car in December 2008 after she passed away, with 49,966 miles. The car now has 87,940 miles. The car has a current Pa inspection which is good until the end of May 2012, and the tires are relatively new. The fronts are about 75% tread remaining and the rears about 90% remaining. The transmission was rebuilt in July 2009 with 54,603 miles. The brakes are about 70% - 80% remaining on all four corners. Mechanically, the car has been maintained, with regular oil changes, the cooling system was flushed last summer and new coolant installed. The car has a new exhaust from the catalytic convert back, which was installed last summer. The interior is in great shape, it needs a good cleaning though. The car was hit about two years ago by hit and run, that's the reason for the different colored front passenger door. My son was in school then, so we installed a used door ourselves to keep the repair affordable. The exterior needs a little attention, as you can see from the pictures, but the car is solid all around with just cosmetic work needed. The AC/heat works great, the rear defroster works, and the Kenwood radio stays with the car. All in all this is a great little car to get you around very economically.
