Vehicle Detail

PHS Documented 1967 Pontiac GTO hardtop. PHS denotes this GTO was born in the Fremont, Ca. plant and was invoiced on 5/16/1967. Car was Orginally Gold W/ Black interior, 335HP WW code 400, HD 3 Sp manual trans and 3:55 open rear end. This rust free, straight GTO was found in a barn in Bend, Or. in 2007 with it last being licensed in 1988 prior to my ownership in 2007. The car has undergone a frame on restoration over the past 4 years, including being painted Pontiac code N Burgundy (this was the color of the car when I bought it) and has remained garaged during my ownership. This GTO now has the folowing: Fresh rebuilt 1974 455c/i Motor. Bored .030 (462) Mildly worked # 96 heads, Comp 284XEcam, Roller rockers, flowcooler water pump otherwise stock .All hoses and belts in the engine compartment have been replaced within the last 2 years - Engine Has approx 400 miles on it. BW ST-10 4 Sp. manual trans Olds 12 bolt Limited slip rearend. Blacke plate that was original to this car. a stack of receipts of all the msc. items i've bought for this car. set of (4) 15"7" steel wheels pained body color (no tires) WIll include all my leftover Pontiac parts from this restoration. Some known items to consider before bidding: The undercarriage has not been restored (suspension, body bushings, etc) I just fixed what was needed in order to safely drive it. There is a small hole next to the LH trunk floor drain plug (see picture). I noticed this during restoration but didnt deem it a big deal since this was the ONLY rust or rot I found on this car. Missing radio, antenna, speaker, rear seat belts and sun visors Has just developed a ground problem where the brake light / dome light fuse blows on occasion Heater controls are "sticky" but do work Dash lights do not work Bumpers have a few dings and tweaks, rear bumper is from a '67 Lemans (no backup lights) but are still presentable as the pictures show. In my opinion i'd say this car is a solid "5 footer". I built his car to be fun for my family and myself, to be used and enjoyed - that what these cars were built for. right? I've driven the car to work, had it in a couple local car shows and took the kids to get ice cream in it. I have the PHS and a CLEAR WA TITLE IN HAND for the winning bidder. Remember, you are bidding on a 45 year old car! I have done alot to it over the past 4 years but theres more that can be done to it and my reserve reflects this. This isnt a 100 point showcar however it is a REAL, DOCUMENTED 1967 GTO THAT YOU CAN GO OUT AND ENJOY! This GTO is being sold as is and there is NO WARRANTY offered or implied. I have attempted to represent the car to the best of my ability, i would strongly suggest if you are serious about purchasing my GTO and have questions, come and see it or if you want a picture of a certain area i will be happy to send it to you. Buyer is soely responsible for shipping (arrangments, cost, etc) and all sales are final. $500 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction ending and the remainder due within 7 business days of auction ending. Paypal, Certified check or cash is accepted. I reserve the right to refuse to sell the car to ANYBODY. The car does not leave my garage until your cash is in my back account. On Feb-06-12 at 15:53:03 PST, seller added the following information: I troubleshot the "ground" problem today and I traced it back to the org. turn signal switch being bad. Once this is replaced the brake and dome lights will work fine.On Feb-08-12 at 16:08:49 PST, seller added the following information: I have pictures of the underside of the car but cannot post them since I maxed out the number of alloable photos. if anybody wants to see them, Shoot me an email and I'll send them your way! Be warned due to the size and amount of them it will come in 3 emails.
