Vehicle Detail

Here is a 1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible with Suicide Doors. I have been told that 1964 is the year to have for Continental Convertibles. I bought this car from the Estate of the second owner who had owned it since 1980 (I have a copy of the title from 1980 and the car had 83,549 miles on it then) the car has been parked in his garage and not on the road since 1991 or 1992. Since he passed away I was unable to get any information from him about the car. It seems to run fine, I replaced the master cylinder, brake light switch, radiator cap, PCV valve, rubber line, filter, and replaced the fuel filter and rubber lines in the engine bay. I have a BRAND NEW in the box exhaust system with pipes, mufflers and resonators that go with the car. (Original mufflers and resonators have holes in them) I believe the carburetor needs to be rebuilt from sitting for so long. Everything seems to work, I had two window switches rebuilt but I think two others may need to be rebuilt as well. I have the original owner’s manual and sales brochure that go with it, and it comes with an indoor car cover as well. I also have a Ford factory 1965 shop manual that goes with it. This is the original color combination, Encino Yellow with a Black & White leather interior and black top. There appears to be a newer top installed over the original top or original liner. The leather could use conditioning, It appears to have had some cancer repair done on the body in the past (a small piece got cracked off and is taped on at the front corner or the left rear wheel well, see pic) there are some rust holes on the bottom underside of the doors, not through the outside of the door but on the very bottom not noticeable unless laying on the ground looking up. The car appears to have been repainted the original color at some time in the past. Please remember this car is used and not new, it is not a restored show car. It does have some dings, scratches, etc; the rear bumper has a dent in it. Please see the pictures and ASK questions, do not assume anything. I have a clear New York State transferable registration. (NYS issues transferable registrations and not titles to vehicles over a certain age) As with any car that has been sitting this long, it should be gone over before using it. I would not drive this car home, I would trailer it. I do have a few more pictures that I can send via email, I can not add any others to the listing. Local pick up in New City, NY 10956. Approx 30 miles north of Manhattan. If you want to ship it I am willing to work with a shipper of your choice. I prefer Cash payment at pick up, Certified checks or Personal checks will have to clear my bank before the car is released. Please ask any and all questions BEFORE bidding. This car is sold as-is where is, with no warranty or guaranty of any kind. If you live outside of the United States and have interest in this car please email me so I can open the bidding up to you.
