Up for auction is a great daily driver 1971 Karmann Ghia Coupe. The car has had lots of recent work done to it. Full tune up (valves adjusted, oil changed, points, condensor, etc) , new alternator, new fuel sending unit. The car starts on the FIRST crank, and drives great. There are no issues with synchros on the tranny, and the car shifts through all of the gears perfectly. The brakes work fine, and the tires are in good shape.The motor is a 1600 dual port. ...Even the heat works nicely. The underside is clean, and the rockers are clean, as well. All in all, this is a great car that somebody can drive and enjoy right now, while doing the finishing touches to make it perfect. The car sports Empi 8 spoke wheels with good rubber on them. There are extra rubber trim bits and pieces that come with the car, etc. The not so good: Car was originally yellow...somebody painted it blood orange in the past. it's an OK job...not show worthy. it's a 10 footer. There some small dents, scratches and chips in the paint. It's a driver. The interior has aged and shows it. It's presentable for a driver (and the patina makes it kind of cool). Don't expect a perfect interior. The rear parcel shelf and the dash have been recovered, and look nice. The clock does not work. The other gauges do. The car has a clean California title, and the ORIGINAL blue plates. For California people, the registration is paid through November 2012. I get tons of thumbs ups from people with this car.
