Cuteness abounds in this 1986 Chrysler LeBaron Town and Country Station Wagon. I purchased this darling wagon from the original owner's nephew 4 years ago. I have driven it cross-country 5 times, and it is a great dependable little car. It is equipped with the 2.5 liter Chrysler-built 4-cylinder engine, and it provides plenty of power and zip for this little car. It is serviced regularly and runs well.The Torqueflite automatic transmission was rebuilt (at Chrysler) at 60k, and shifts as new.The rack-and-pinion steering rack and pump were replaced (at Chrysler) at 80k, and steers perfectly. The exhaust was replaced at the same time.The A/C was replaced, and upgraded to 134 refrigerant in 2010. For some reason, it loses its charge every season. I will recharge this week, but no guarantees on this.The heater, oddly, blows cold air. The interior is in very good condition. The only wear is in the driver's seat bolster, and a pleat is separating on the bottom cushion. The dash has cracks over the speakers, and a replacement dash is included (see pictures). The original owner, for some reason, had Chrysler replace the headliner, and it is in perfect condition. This alone is reason enough to buy the car. All windows are in good condition (all original). The right rear window does not roll down. I believe the regulator is stuck. All the other windows operate perfectly. The paint is original, and has the extra cost protectant. It shines beautifully! There are a couple of small dings on the roof (I used the roof rack a lot on my trips). The driver's side woodgrain is weathered, and I purchased the correct 3M woodgrain. It is included for the buyer at no additional cost. The passenger side and rear woodgrain are in great shape. The chrome on the grill and mirrors are a little weathered. There are a couple of spots where rust bubbles are appearing behind each rear wheelwell (see photos). The rest of the car checks out just fine. The stereo has been upgraded to the Chrysler AM/FM cassette stereo with the Chrysler CD player below. It works well, and provides (in my opinion) the best stereo quality for an 80's era car. All gauges work accurately. All lights and wipers work. The tires are fairly new, and have plenty of life in them. The brakes are good also. The original spare has never been used. Also included are two NOS hubcaps. This is a really neat car and has started to become collectible. If you are a collector, or just want something with a distinct look to it, this is the car for you!
