You know I just sold my silver bar for much more than I am asking for this whole car! AND I DON'T MEAN JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE I MEAN ALMOST TWICE AS MUCH! DARN $4456.00 IS WAY MORE THAN THE AUCTION I WILL GET FOR THIS CAR! ITS A CRYING SHAME! ITS TOTALLY STUPID THAT PEOPLE WILL PAY MORE FOR A PIECE OF SILVER THAN THEY WILL FOR A WHOLE CAR! WHAT A JOKE! They dont make any mussle cars any more, yet I got more for my silver bar than I will get for this whole car! Its a joke! If you don't beleive me you can see for your self by entering 320836808913 into ebays search. That was on the manzanita_perches seller account my other ebay account and you will notice that that item actually sold in the green not in the red! I actually sold the item! And folks cant pay half that for an entire rare classic car that runs great... GO FIGURE!This is a 1967 ford mercury cougar xr7 with a c4 3speed automatic transmission and 302 V8 engine in very good running order. I have done a whole lot of work on this car to bring it up to nice running condition. The car only has 92k miles on it and the engine does not burn any oil. KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE CARS ARE VERY RARE! Now a days you can not buy any mussel car that you can work on in your garage as they do not exist any more. There is no more big engines in cars any more. All the cars you find today have small hoods and can barley fit a 4 cylinder engine underneath. There are no more cars that you can pull out and install v8 engines from your own home these old mussel cars with room for large engines do not exist in our modern world any more so just that in its self is worth it for any older car. I don't have the license plates for this car but the dmv has told me that there will be no back fees for CA so you don't have to worry about that There are a few small surface rust areas but not many because I have replaced and welded in new patch panels on the floor boards and the rear fender left side. The car has white paint on it and a couple places where i replaced patch panels I have added white primer in those areas only. So the car is mostly white paint with a few white primer spots. I also did get the vacuum motors that open the lights to work but its been a while and i think i need to replace some more of those rubber vacuum hoses again. I should be able to get those doors opening and closing again hopefully as i did have them working fine about 1 year ago. The important code numbers off of the tag is as follows REG #:7F93A629287 AND 65B-BODY Y-COLOR 6G-TRIM 24F-DATE 62-D.S.O. 1-AXILE W-TRANS The car runs fine and shifts through all the gears. It has a 302 v8 engine with a hi performance 4 barrel carburetor. I replaced the windshield with a tinted one that was in good shape. It really came out nice. I also replaced the passenger wing window too. I rebuilt the power-steering and so there are no oil leaks in the hydraulics its really nice. The tires were new an never driven on the road only on the dirt. I never bothered registering it for the highway but I called the DMV in Ca and they said all i need is a brake and light inspection and there will be absolutely no back fees for california as this car is way too old for their computer systems now. The last time I spoke with ca dmv was a few years back so we should be fine with cheap registration in california. The head liner is in really great shape for its age also so are the front seats. They are the comfortable bucket seats that go front and back and lay back ect. with the head rests. The back seat could use apulstury. I also replaced the carpet with a carpet kit. The brakes are all brand new. The A/C system holds a vacuum and I replaced the expansion valve and the dryer you just need to add r12 and your good to go with the ac. I also replaced several of the vacuum pots that open the vent flaps and also the vacuum control switch. These parts are very hard to find but i did find them several years ago and replaced them. The car is in excellent running order and does not miss.. It runs very smoothly on all 8 cylinders. I drive it around the yard here often she starts right up with its new starter. The headliner has only one tiny little 1 inch crack and like 2 pea size holes in the back but everything else is in great shape on the headliner. The dash is completely crack free. That's rare for its age. The seats are tare free and crack free except a tiny one on the head rest that is hard to notice. The sequential turn signals work also So this is a great run around classic car or you can continue where i left off and try to fix it up some more. All the gauges work. The tac also works but needs to be hooked up. There is a deck of switches on the dash and a deck of indicator lights on the sealing. Its a great xR7. This was my dream project car and now it can be your dream also. Its a great running car that could be restored even further if you want to do that. Email me if you want more photos. email me at supergene93athotmaildotcom Of coarse you will need to pay to trailer this or ship this because its not licensed for the highway till you get a brake and light inspection here in California. Of coarse if you truck this out of state registration will not mater at all for California. Also the tires are new and have not been driven on the highway except around the yard here on dirt but the sidewalls have some sun cracks so lately I have been covering the tires from the sun so they will stay in good condition.
