1971 Honda CB

Hello and thanks for looking at my auction, Today I have one of my last 1971 honda cb750 k1 bikes up for auction. Matching # VIN# 1072628, MOTOR# 1073048 I have owned this bike since 2006. I decided to sell it and use the funds to do a total restoration on a 1970 cb750. This bike is complete other then the fork boots are gone .Starts right up, runs and rides nice. It would be an excellent bike for a total restoration and is the next best thing to owning a 1970 model. Everything works and there is no motor smoke,or knocks. All the lights, horn, turn signals, starter all work fine. Exhaust pipes are HM 341and have a couple small holes on the bottom the chrome on these is in fair condition with some rust on the head pipes. This bike is 41 years old and shows the years, It is not restored I have done some service to it, sealed the tank with POR-15, rebuilt the front master and caliper, new battery, and new NOS K-1 handle bars.The Gas tank does not have original paint, the rest of the green is. All of the paint is faded . Seat has no tears and foam is good. I have clear open indiana paper work signed off by the last owner. There is rust on the bike, under the seat,on nuts and bolts, rear fender has pits, front fender is not bad ,some very small specks. The rear wheel and spokes have some rust. The front wheel also has rust . Tires have good tread but have cracks on the sidewalls. There is a crack on the left side cover. This bike will need new tires to be a safe rider. I would also put a new drive chain also. These bikes are not going to be around forever and are getting much harder to find. On Jan-31-12 at 08:50:18 PST, seller added the following information: Just wanted to add to the listing that I have owned this bike 6 years and forgot to mention that this bike also has a new complete barnett clutch setup, friction disc, steel plates, and medium springs, The clutch is not hard to pull as I did not use the heavy duty springs. The fuel petcock has also been rebuilt.
