*********** I AM MOST HAPPY TO SELL THIS CAR TO SOME ONE FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY BUT ALL TRANSPORT AND SHIPPING IS YOUR RESPONCIABLITY AND NOT MINE. I WILL WORK WITH YOUR SHIPPER TO GET IT LOADED IN EDGEWOOD NEW MEXICO USA*********** THE VIN # IS 92431305* the last # is intentionally left out but as the winner you will of course get it. INCASE YOU NEED THAT AS THE VIN BOX ON THE EBAY PAGES WONT ALLOW VINS FROM VERY OLD CARS TO BE PUT THERE THE DISCIPTIONS OF MY CAR I ADMIT IS A LITTLE LONG WINDED BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT KIND OF SHAPE THE CAR IS IN WHEN YOU BUY IT AS THIS CAR IT IS NOT NEW 2012 CAR AND IS NERLY NEARLY 50 YEARS OLD SO BID ACCORDINGLY AND ASK QUESTIONS I TRY TO ANS ALL QUESTIONS WITH IN 4 TO 5 HOURS MY CAR HAS BEEN RESTORED TO MY TASTES YOURS MAY BE A LITTLE DIFFERENT. Up for sale is a car out of my personal collection, it is a 1964 Chrysler Imperial CROWN COUPE 2 door hard top, only about 5,000 made for that year most likely under 500 still on the road. Mileage is original 88,858 This car is rust free southern Calf and a rust free southwest car When you find these 2 door hardtops for sale on eBay they are priced so high you cant afford them or in such bad shape it would cost to much to bring them back. This one is priced to sell. And ready for you to enjoy. There were about 14,000 four door hard tops made not so many 2 door hardtops I am the third owner of this car, not much had to be restored other then getting repainted to its present Rich Burgandy Metalic that is a base coat clear coat so it most likely never need to be polished if you keep it in side and a small can of left over paint will be in the trunk, if it ever gets a rock chip or something like that, it has only been driven to a few local car shows since painted and right back in the garage and does not sit outside at all. The interior is the original white color that the car came with, the head liner has been recently replaced as well, both front seats are electric and still work and the carpet in it is nice as well. The pass seat in the crown coupes were always recliners. A pretty unique feature back then and not brought back till the 90’s in these smaller cars we have now. They were called "Aircraft Style Strato" Bucket seats. With center fold down arm rests front and back. All so the front door arm rests also have a storage area just under the arm rest it is kind of lid that opens up for maps and etc. Most All Crown Coupes came with vinyl tops this one did not which makes it even more rare the Crown Coupes and has the smaller Limo style rear window as you can see in the photos . And 95% came with vinyl top. This one did not. Which makes it more rare and you will never need replace a expensive vinyl top or try to keep it clean. ****THE TITLE IS IN MY NAME***** and is not jumped title as so many cars being sold on eBay, that means the title may have not been put in the currant owners name and just passed through several hands and when you bid and win the car I can scan and send you a copy of the title via email when you win and pay the pay pal deposit that shows it in my name . Then when you pay for the car in full I will fill in your name and information and scann you a copy of the title showing that you are the new owner. If you are the winner of the car This one has a “413” with a 4 bl carb the carb has been recently rebuilt in the last yr. It is a fully optioned car as all of them were, it has after market high engery electronic Ignition system for better performamce so it will never need points or any kind of ajustment, it has power brakes, power windows, power vent windows as well, power seats, and air-conditioning the a/c at this time does not work looks like the compressor is relatively new, but may just need to be recharged with R-12 or you could convert it to 134. It has the rare Tilt steering wheel. It of course has a automatic transmission 1964 was the last year for the push button transmission and it works and shifts great. 3 of the 4 windows work, the drivers side front works just fine the pass side front works fine as well, and the passenger side rear window works fine, the drivers side back window I can hear the window motor go but it is not catching the window gears, a common problem with these 64 to 66 Imperials. This one has the factory padded dash is not cracked at all, something that you rarely see on a car this old, The gas guage works fine yet as well as the amp guage, and the dash oil presure gauge stays at constant 3/4 mark 1/2 normally is considered good, and the horn works as well, the radio does not work that is the way we got the car so it was left as is. A couple of years ago the dash lights stopped working, So the easiest solution was to put them on a on and off switch, that is near the top of the drivers side kick panel, also one of the problems with these cars is some times the ingnition switch stops working as far as starting the car, and to get it out to replace it is nearly impossible , the way the dash is designed so the easier solution was to just put a top of the line starter button directly under the steering wheel no problem reaching, so you just turn the key to the on position and tap the starter button and the car starts just fine. As a added feature it is a anti theft deterent cause with out knowing where the button is it cant be started or hot wired, all glass is fine with no breaks or cracks in any of them. The tires are in good shape and have lots of tread on them and wont need to be replaced for yrs to come unless you wanted them to they are 235 x 15’s 75’s a big tire for a big car. If you want to put the rims back to original they and the hub caps are easily found on ebay motors for good prices from what I have seen, we do not have them as the rims and tires were on the car that way when we bought it in 2008. Front brakes were done 3 yrs ago, with new shoes and wheel cylinders and all new hardware, the rears were still in good shape with 75% of the shoe left. The windshield was replaced with a new one along with a new gasket in 2008 at a cost of well over $1,000. It has all recently replaced dual exhaust on it as well. It has fog lights on the front bumper, and the chrome on the bumpers is in great shape as well as all other chrome on the car as you can see. Pics 1-7 are just a overall view from all angles Pic 8 is of the front end grille, bumper and how nice the chrome is and the fog lights Pics 9 -10 are of the custom rims best discibed as Center Lines and the amount of tread left on the tires with I would estimate at over 90% Pics 11 to 15 are of the interior dash area, front and back seat and the head liner Pics 16 -17 are of the door panels that are very very nice as well as the seats Pic 18 is of the trunk, very nicely carpeted. Pics 19-22 is of the engine Pic 23 is showing the new front windshield Pic 24 is just of the overall shine of the paint job WITH ANY OLD CAR YOU ARE NOT BUYING A 2012 PERFECT CAR, SO KEEP THAT IN MIND, BUT THIS CAR IS A GREAT CAR IN MY OPINION AND AS FOR MY TASTES IT NEEDS NOTHING BUT THAT IS ONLY MY PERSONAL OPINION.
