Up for sale is my 1965 Austin Healey 3000 MK III. Prior to my purchasing this Healey it was owned by the same man for 30 plus years who owned and ran a service station. This car was not driven much by him as the mileage is very low, but I believe it is correct at 29,373 due to the condition of the car. The car comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Certificate #2005/7375. All numbers match the Heritage Certificate including the Colorado Red paint job which was done last March of 2011 at a cost of $5000. This car runs well, starts right up and blows very little smoke, none after it warms up. The compression numbers are all within the normal range of 125 to 130. The interior is in very good shape, and the wood dash has been revarnished and shows no cracking. It has a Moto Lita steering wheel. During the past 11 months approximately $9,500 has been spent on restoring the car, including the following: A flawless Colorado Red paint job-- no bondo, no rust, bumpers rechromed, all fluids changed, brake system flushed, speedo rebuilt, tack adjusted, complete tune up, plugs, points,and ignition rotor, all bearings repacked and steering topped up, everything lubed, transmission mounts replaced, new shifter boot, both carbs rebuilt, fuel filters replaced, top frame removed, refurbished and painted original gray, then reinstalled, new black top from Moss Motors included, just needs to be installed, new tonneau included new top boot included As the car is now, it will win awards at most local shows and with a little more effort it can win concours at larger British Car shows. Very few Healeys come with matching numbers these days which is always important when you show the car or sell it! This will make someone an excellent "Sunday driver" without spending a penny.
