It features a GMG Roll Cage, Center Locking Hubs, New Tires, and the gear box was replaced by Porsche less than 1000 miles ago. The car has always been serviced at the Porsche dealer. The interior shows a little wear on both the drivers / passenger seats and center console. In a nutshell, the 911 GT3 RS is a genuine racing car approved for the road. Its been formulated for demanding competition use with a special suspension, weight-saving components and large carbon-fiber wing spoiler - and even comes complete with special livery. Porsche makes this model available to the general public because racing requirements dictate it must sell a production version of the actual race car. The all-new 911 GT3 RS features a new and more powerful 3.8-liter flat-six -- up from 3.6-liters last year, and now producing 450 Horsepower. That figure is 15 horsepower up on the current GT3 and 35 horsepower more than the previous GT3 RS. Porsche engineers also managed to improve the GT3 RS handling, thanks to a specifically setup PASM suspension, wider tracks both front and rear and dynamic engine mounts that can change stiffness and damping effect to improve the connection between the engine and the cars body. The new 911 GT3 RS also features a lower ride height, a large carbon fiber rear wing and a titanium exhaust system. For those looking to shed even more weight - 22 pounds to be exact - a lithium-ion battery can be ordered in the place the conventional lead-acid battery. The 911 GT3 RS definitely stands out on the road in its five available paint colors: metallic silver or black, which come with contrasting orange accents. Also available are orange and green, which come with contrasting black accents. Carrera White is the final option and doesnt have a contrasting color. Inside are highly bolstered racing seats upholstered in leather with suede-like Alcantara inserts. The steering wheel, gear knob and handbrake lever are also covered in Alcantara. Its aerodynamically sculpted body is slightly wider but lightweight materials bring weight down by 44 pounds. This allows the RS to knock off a slightly faster zero-to-60-mph time of 4.0 seconds (just 0.1-seconds faster). Top track speed is identical at 193 mph. The only transmission is a six-speed manual but, compared to the regular GT3, the RSs has a single-mass flywheel for higher racing loads. Porsche Active Suspension Management and traction control are both standard. As expected, the brake system is also of the high-performance variety with Porsches ceramic composite brakes as an option. The lightweight 19-inch wheels are RS-exclusive. For measuring track performance, customers can opt for either Porsches Chrono Package or more comprehensive Chrono Package Plus.
