Up for auction is a completely original, barn find 1960 Ford F100, 4x4 with the original 292 engine and a 3 on the tree manual transmission. This was purchased from the original owners grandson, and the truck spent it's life on a farm and has only 57,009 original miles. The truck runs great, and the transfer case is in good working order, and she is very fun to drive. The truck was last registered in 1975, and has great patina. The great thing about the truck is that all of the exterior lights work fine, blinkers all work, horn works, wipers work, and she starts up without hesitation! The motor runs super smooth, and idles great. No knocking or bad sounds either. If she sits for a few days there will be two quarter sized drops under her. The tires on the truck are most likely 20+ years old but, they still hold air just fine. The truck is incredibly straight, with very few dings. The bed show lots of use, and is pictured. The truck has very little rust overall, and I will cover that in a second. Come see the truck and take it for a spin, as it's alot of fun to drive. The gauges all work, the speedo works, and the wiring is in good shape overall which is surprising for it's age. ENGINE/ TRANS: The engine is the original Y block 292 that runs great. The carb is a 2 barrel Holley carb that works pretty good overall. The generator works but, the voltage regulator works periodically. Under the hood as you can see I replaced the brake and clutch master cylinders, and they work great. The look under the hood is original and unmolested. The motor runs to quiet and smooth you almost don't know she is even running. The 3 speed manual transmission works just fine, she shifts through all the gears without any issues. The transfer case is in good working order and goes right into the gears.The differentials both work just fine, and are good and dirty. The truck has a 3 on the tree shifter that works perfectly. INTERIOR/ EXTERIOR: The interior is as basic as they come, no heater, and no radio. The dash is in very good shape as you can see. The gauges all work perfectly, but the dash lights at night do not come on. My guess is the headlight switch as the blinkers flash in the bezel and the oil/gen light both work. The bench seat does not have any rips or tears. The steering wheel is the original with a few cracks. The horn works great! There is some minor rust in the floor boards, that could be repaired in a few minutes. Under the gas pedal it needs a small patch about the size of 3"x3". I took some under side shots to show the lack of rust overall. The paint is as shown, the front windshield has two scratches, and the passenger windows both have some cracks but, they are flat glass. The windows do roll up and down. The door handles inside and out work perfect, and the body lines on the truck are great!! INFO: Please just remember that this truck was just brought back to life, and though she is very good working order she will need some work to get her back to being a daily driver. I have taken her to the gas station, and on parts runs just to test her out. She did great but, plan on a good once over on her before any trips.
