Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 2002 Chrysler Town & Country Limited AWD All Wheel Drive Mini Van. This has served us well. In 2002 this vehicle cost 39 thousand 3 hundred & 60 dollars. $39,360 as shown with all its standard and optional equipment. This vehicle does run and drive but will need maintenance. This would be a perfect handy persons special. This needs to have the head gaskets replaced. One of the cylinders is leaking compression pressure into the cooling system so the head gaskets should be replaced. We just recently stopped driving the van because of this but it is still registered and does still drive fine. The transmission was professionally replaced back in January 2009 for $1800.00 at 132024 miles. In October of 2009 a defective torque converter was replaced at 141618 miles and was covered under warranty and both receipts are in the provided pictures above. The emissions (also shown in the pictures) were tested in July of 2011 as shown in the upper right hand corner and are good in Connecticut until 28 May 2013. This has been a family van and therefore general wear is to be expected. To be honest I didn't bother to clean or vacuum the van so what you see in the pictures will actually clean up pretty nice with a good scrub and vacuum. It rained the day before I took the pictures so the remnants of the rain is still visible. The interior is premium heated leather low back bucket seats with leather and suede trim (very nice looking design). This does of course have some general scuffs, scratches, dings, dents, surface rust, and I believe 2 rust holes. One on the bottom left rear rocker & quarter and the other in the front of the right rear quarter. There is a dent as shown in the back tailgate and some rust bubbling through at the top of the tailgate right next to the 3rd brake light. There is a scratch and crack (plastic broke) in the right rear tail light on the side and the right front turn signal lens is cracked/broken but all still work. The back seats all pop out quickly as well as the center console to allow for moving large bulky items. This will carry full size 4 X 8 sheets of plywood with ease while having plenty of clearance to close the tailgate. You can also carry 10 foot boards right up where the center console goes again with ease and completely closing the back tailgate. These are wonderful practical vans in every way. GOOD LUCK!..........ANY QUESTIONS JUST ASK :)On Jan-26-12 at 14:05:44 PST, seller added the following information: WE JUST WENT TO DRIVE THE CAR THE OTHER DAY AND NOTICED A SMALL DRIP FROM THE RIGHT REAR OF THE CAR WHICH APPEARS TO BE A SMALL LEAK IN THE REAR HEATER CORE. THIS COULD EASILY BE BYPASSED WHICH I COULD DO FOR YOU IF REQUESTED IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES. WE CHECKED THE COST OF A HEATER CORE THROUGH ROCKAUTO.COM AND A BRAND NEW REPLACEMENT HEATER CORE FROM THEM FOR A SPECTRA PREMIUM BRAND IS $41.79 AND WOULD BE QUITE EASY TO CHANGE (FOR THE REAR HEATER CORE).
