1992 Mercedes Benz 300E in Black with Grey soft leather. This car was purchased new in April of of 1992 at West German Mercedes in Fort Washington PA. The only option added was the passenger side air bag bringing the total retail price to $50,580. It has had only 2 owners within the same family being passed from mother to daughter in 2009 at her passing. The car had been shipped to Florida during the winters for the first 13 years and has seen very little winter use since then. It is in very good condition and has been very well cared for. The exterior if the car is in very good condition. The paint holds a deep shine and shows no signs of fading. There is not a spec of rust. The car was never involved in an accident. There are a hand-full of small dings which are pretty much isolated to the rear passenger side door, the largest of which is above the handle. There are no major imperfections. The glass is in great shape without any chipping or scratches. The exterior chrome and moldings are also in very good condition. The car shows extremely well for a 20 year old automobile. The interior of the car is also in good condition. The leather is in good shape with no tearing or excess wear. There are some very faint cracks and light patina on the leather, however, it is still in very nice shape. The car has been owned by non smokers and the inside is free of odors. The carpets are in very good condition with no stains or dirt. There are no cracks in the dashboard. Unfortunately, the wood on the center console is in poor condition due to the Florida sun and heat and frequent use of the sunroof. It has caused cracking and chipping in the finish which I have depicted in the photos. The trim on the seat-belt housing as also shrunk. If the wood trim on the console were to be replaced, the interior would be in excellent condition. Also, please note that there are four holes in the passenger side console trim that previously held the bracket for a mobile phone. All interior features are working as intended with the exception of cruise control. All windows, seat positions, the sunroof (was slow to close in the cold temperature and will occasionally need a push), antenna, and climate control features function correctly. Heat is hot and A/C is cold. Mechanically, the car is also in good condition. The engine pulls very strong and the transmission shifts smoothly as it should. Recent services have included; water pump and hoses, exhaust, and tires. At the present time the car will need brakes as the light for brake linings comes on when the brakes are applied. This is the only item that I am aware of that needs attention at this time. The car runs and drives very nicely as a car of this mileage should. There are no strange noises or rattles and the car steers and brakes straight. I can see no evidence of any leaks. This car has been very well kept and cared for and is in very good condition as a result. Obviously it will exhibit minor wear as a result of age but it has been very well preserved. These cars are known for their engineering, safety, and durability and most will exceed 200k miles. With only 67k miles and being in very good condition, this car is a rare find that should provide many more years of use.
