Vehicle Detail
Thanks for viewing my Auction for this 1956 Chevrolet 4100 2 Ton farm truck. I saw this truck sitting in some woods and had to have it. Once tracking down the owner, it turns out his father was the original owner and they used it on their nursery for the life of the vehicle. It was then parked one day after they purchased a new truck and there it sat for 20+ years. The last he remembered it ran fine, but please don't hold me to it. I do have a title and registration from 1970 from the previous owner. I had a flat bed tow truck pull it out and bring it to my house where I had huge plans to cut, chop and create a sweet dually RatRod. Well a year later and there it sits taking up my space, so I have decided to let it go. What I know about it: It is all original and it is in fairly decent shape considering. It will need a total restoration. I believe it is powered by the sturdy Chevy 261 straight 6 with single Rochester carb and manual transmission with 80,700 showing on the odometer. I have no idea what it would take to get it running, but I really wish I could have. I don't know if the motor is free or not. I have not even tried. I cleaned out the carb, sprayed some B-Blaster in the cylinders, purchased new plugs for it which never went in, cleaned out the interior and bench seat from rats nest and debris, and that's about it. The rest is history. The back tires hold air, but the drivers front is flat as a pancake and is on a widow maker rim, so I haven't touched it, but the truck rolls with out any hang ups. This would be a perfect restoration vehicle or possible rat rod. Please email with questions. I come to the realization that I don't have time to mess with this guy, and I need the space for a enclosed trailer. Must go! Side note: This truck was delivered to my house with a flat bed tow truck, and it will need to leave on the same or a 1 car trailer. My drive is a 2 tier steep drop with tight turns and anything bigger will not be able to make it down, so please consider this when planning pick -up. Thank you.
