Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1966 Triumph Bobber-styled bikeAbout the Bike: This bike was built by a very talented artist and friend of mine by the name of Kevin Corder who is located just outside of Detroit, Mich. He is very well-known for his artwork and by the bikes that he has built and this bike truly is a work of art. With that said, I have been forced to sell the bike for a combination reasons: I will be moving out of state soon and won't be able to take the bike with me, I have student loans to pay off and I work 50-60 hours a week; leaving me no time to enjoy the bike. This bike is something that I planned to keep for years, but circumstances out of my control have arisen. Bike Specs:The frame is a 1966 Triumph T100, I do no know if it was originally a Champion, Daytona or Tiger Model. The engine is an early 70s unit model. It is a kick start bike, and the transmission is a 4 speed with a close-gear ratio. Frame: Hard-tailed - lowered and stretchedCustom made rigid metal seat Custom paint - Brandywine Red with Creme Brulee colored scallops New drum brakes all around Drag bars - from Lowbrow Customs Harley sportster tank painted by Andy Bowman Jr. of Monkey Business Custom Body & Paint located on Grosse Ile, Michigan.Custom made oil tank - mounted on right side chrome cat-eye taillight and headlight polished valve covers Custom made exhaust pipes - no mufflers Custom made engine mounts, license plate holder and battery box Drivetrain:500cc Unit Engine 4 Speed transmission - right shift like all old Triumphs Mikuni style slide carb - new from Lowbrow Customs Converted over to electronic ignition Podtronics regulator/rectifier Boyer Micro MK ignition system New battery Front tire is newer, rear tire has good tread but a few cracks brand new 6v coils - from Lowbrow Customs Kickstarter has a good kicker gear the bike is 12V - Positive Ground This is more than less a show bike. I have ridden it a bit here and there - but it is definitely a bar hopper. It needs a few things before it can be ridden next spring! The bike needs to be timed - carb is dialed in right but its choking out on the top end of gears so the engine needs to be retarded. Does run, idle and ride - but like I said it bogs down. The float on the carb, while brand new, does hang up here and there. It is a Mikuni knock-off and will need some adjusting. I would get a velocity stack or air cleaner for the carb, also. The bike leaks oil - but its a old British bike, so that is be expected. The handlebar grips also do not match. Both are black, just different styles. Overall:The bike certainly not in perfect condition, I've included plenty of pictures for the buyer and an accurate explanation so you know exactly what you're getting. The buyer of the bike will not be disappointed. Corder, the builder of the bike, put countless hours in it, as have I since its purchase. Bobbers like this are hot right now, so don't miss out on this deal. This bike has been featured in Outlaw Biker Magazine Issue #184, and was in the 2011 Detroit Autorama. Also, note that the tank and bars on the bike that can be seen in the last two pictures are NOT included in the auction.
