Vehicle Detail

1966 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL COUPE Model: Continental Color: Arctic White Interior: Ivy Gold Leather Miles: 93,074 Engine: 462 Cubic Inch, 4 Barrel Trans: Twin Range Turbo Drive 3 Speed Automatic Title: Clear SC Title This is a very clean older non-restored Continental Coupe. The paint is in good condition, not original and not perfect. Interior is re-skinned and dyed in the original "Ivy Gold" color. Shows wear, but no rips, holes or tears. There is about a two inch tear in the headliner, but nothing hanging down and covered with a small piece of clear tape. Window switches work but the power door locks are inconsistent. Power antenna also works. The carpet is original and in good shape. The vinyl top has been replaced and is in very good condition. The chrome is original and good for a driver, no rust, or pitting. The mechanical condition is very good and the engine compartment looks nice. It does have a few leaks. Mostly transmission (I just haven't taken it to get fixed). Also minor oil leaks but it does have a new rear main seal and pan gasket. The massive smooth and powerful engine was rebuilt in May of 1998 (6,000 miles ago). I have $6,000 worth of engine receipts and about $4,000 of other miscellaneous receipts, shop manual, owner's manual, and Lincoln Service Diary (not all complete), dealer brochure and a bunch of other interesting paperwork. This is a great driver with a huge restoration potential. Was always a Florida car until I drove it to South Carolina a year ago. It was wonderful on the highway and turned a lot of heads. The interior is really good too. Leather is nice (shows wear), air conditioner blows very cold (needs a new fan switch, which I have). Radio, power antenna, speedo and cruise control work. One turn signal marker does not work and the fuel gauge works intermittenly. On the outside, the body is very straight and clean. There are a couple small rust spots but nothing major. Chrome looks good but is not perfect. The trunk carpet and lining is all new and looks great. A couple of the rear lights (there are many of them) do not work. New Brakes, New Tires, New Exhaust, New Fuel Pump and more.
