I am selling this for my buddy. He bought it a few years ago and did a lot of work to make it driveable and as safe as possible. It has been driven to at least 10 car shows, some an hour or more with no issues. This was basically a garage find with original patina. It runs good and stops well. Starts every time. It has good oil pressure. The engine is a 21 stud flathead. Owner believes it to be 1937 era. 3 speeed transmission and 3.78 ratio rear. Front tires are new, rear tires are good. The good; New parts. Fan belt, points, condenser, rotor, plugs, battery, all new brakes, wheel cylinders,some brake parts,master cylinder, front brake lines, rear axle seals, brake drum seals, rear axle bearings nearest the center section, all fluids changed, oil filter, gas filter, air cleaner, ignition relay,ignition switch, remote coil and kit,rear shocks,front leaf spring assembly, spring shackles front and rear, battery cables,radiator hoses,bed bolts,drag link assembly, electric fuel pump. Restored or replaced with good used parts; Radiator,gas tank,drivers side exhaust manifold, hubcaps,rear shock mounts, back 56 '' of frame replaced by professional welder, The bad; Headlights very dim, horn, speedometer, and oil pressure gauge are the only guages that work,pops out of 2nd gear when decellerating but will not pop if you hold your hand on it, Has heater but not hooked up, passenger side exhaust manifold has small crack, wiper does not work, leaks a little oil, The Ugly; Top of passenger side fender needs work, Inside bottom of both doors need work, top of hood needs work, all should be visible in pics,front of frame has surface rust, new floor of cab was put in over the old floor, On Jan-09-12 at 05:59:23 PST, seller added the following information: There is a lot of interest in this truck. I have had two trade offers and several requesting a buy it now price. The owner will consider any offers until the truck meets reserve. I believe that it will pass reserve with no problem. It's a 40 ford, and very sought after. It can be driven as is (keeping in mind it drives like a 40 Ford) not a 2012, or it can be restored. Personally I think it will get just as much attention either way. Not interested in trades, sorry. Look at other 40's and make an offer. Remember, once reserve is met, the auction will continue and will be sold to high bidder. It is not 9,999. had one question about the section of frame being replaced. It was rusted. Owner found a good correct frame and had it cut and welded in. If you have any concerns, have it looked at before buying. There is a street rod shop not too far away, may be worth your while to have them come look at it for you. As with anything on ebay, buyer should use due diligence in these large investments. If you cannot come look at it, have someone else do it. I strive for 100 percent positive feedback. Most of the information is from the owner, however I do know it is factual. Otherwise I would not list it. I have a 2007 Harley on here which is nearly perfect, but I still recommend buyers have it looked at before buying. Any concerns please email.
