No Reserve Auction!! Buy This Truck....Mount A Plow....and Make CA$H This Winter!! This auction is for a 1985 GMC 3500 Heavy Duty 1 Ton 4X4 dual wheel Dump Truck. This truck is equipped with a 5.7 liter (350 C.I.) V-8, 3 speed manual transmission (4 speed including the "Granny Low"), Power Steering, and a steel 10' Rugby Dump Body. Mechanically....this truck is solid, starts right up and runs very well. The transmission shifts smoothly and the four wheel drive works well and includes manual hubs. The dump body is Electric/Hydraulic powered and works great. It has good tires, dual fuel tanks, and heavy duty pintle and tow hooks. The horn, headlights, tail lights, brake lights and turn signals all work and the heater and defroster blow HOT!! As you can see, this truck is no show winner. It has plenty of rust and could definatley use some body work and fresh paint. Like almost every other 1980's Chevy/GMC out there, the rocker panels (19.95ea.), cab corners (14.95ea.) and floors (34.95 ea.) are heavily rusted and the left front fender (89.95) contains some moderate rust. The frame, doors, right fender, hood and remainder of the cab all appear solid. The Rugby Dump body is made of heavier steel but is also rusted and has wood side extensions which are easily removed. The passenger door window glass is broken (I have purchased a replacement which will be included in the sale), the left rear wheel cylinder (29.95) leaks and should eventually be replaced (topping off the master cylinder has been working thus far) and the speedometer has stopped working (due to a damaged speedo cable (19.95) burned by the exaust pipe) so the mileage is actually slightly higher than shown. I recently purchased this truck from a landscaper who had operated it regularly for his business over the last 16 years. My intentions were to mount a snow plow on it and begin plowing this winter. Since purchasing it, I have had a change in my career and will no longer have the flexibility in my work schedule for this endeavor. The prices qouted next to the parts that could use replacing are from the current LMC Truck catalog. Please check it out at www.LMCTRUCK.com to see how reasonable it would be to restore this truck to a very nice condition. If not, this truck is a strong work horse as is, but it was my intention to make it more presentable as I had the time. I have tried to describe this truck as accurately and honestly as possible but please understand that it is over 25 years old and is being sold "As is - Where Is" with no warranties or guarantees. Please check out my 100% Positive Feedback and bid with total confidence. Thank You and Good Luck Bidding!! Buy this Truck...Mount a plow and make CASH this winter!!!!
