Vehicle Detail
This vehicle VIN number is: SDKLDKCVXP0265300, Exact mileage unknown due to speedometer replacement, approximate estimate: under 20k. For your consideration, my street driven Caterham HPC (High Performance Course) Super 7. This is an opportunity for someone, who likes the precision feel and raucous thrust of a specialty car, that this one provides. I drove this car to work during the summer months at least once a week, and on occasion, enjoyed track days on weekends. If I where looking to buy a Seven again, this is the car I would want; rare, tuned, and sorted, which is hence, my reluctance to sell. This car is very reliable, easy to maintain, or reconfigure, if so desired. I call it the Mr. Potato Head car, as no two Sevens seem to be alike. The images show some of the variations available through this sale. The exception, is the 16” 5-spoke wheel set which has already been sold. The low weight of the 3 sets available, are far more appealing in terms of ride and performance. The two sets of headlights are plug and play interchangeable. This Cosworth KBA based, 2.0 liter GM Vauxhall Seven, is Caterham Factory rated at 218 hp. The HPC configuration, with it’s unique heritage, is the Stage One of the Evolution Series leading up to it’s bigger brother, the Caterham JPE (Jonathan Palmer Evolution - Ref. The Magnificent 7 by Chris Rees). This engine, like the JPE, was tuned by Swindon in the UK. This car has the 5 speed Ford Sierra sycro trans., de Dion rear suspension, limited slip, wide-track front suspension, and many extras. Refined and sorted to provide outstanding track day and driving school performance yet, it has a compliant ride for the street. The car has been caringly maintained throughout. Current configured aprox. weight: 1,120lb. Everything works, sunglasses or goggles are required, fenders or no fenders (seems the same amount of pebble spray either way). Some minor chips, spider cracks on the rear fenders, and awesome hair-days included. I’ve added an image of the worst ding (outy), there are a few innies along the sides below the door openings from careless seatbelt removal (both sides). This is not a pristine show car, but what I consider to be a handsome runner with nearly 2 decades of great yea-ha scars. Included are two sets of new front cycle fenders, never felt it needed replacement rears. Buyer gets all you see on this Caterham, less the identified wheel set. This car is being listed locally, and is subject to sale outside of this auction. Please call for any questions at: 248 884-6138
