Vehicle Detail
Nice Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for sale It has 277,000 KILOMETERS which is equivilent to 172,000 MILES Vehicle is located in Toronto Ontario CANADA Automatic, Leather, Sunroof, 4x4 6 cylinder, 4.0 Liter Engine Body is in very above average shape for a 1996 Jeep. It has a few spots that have been touched up but overall in nice shape and the underneath is SOLID 4x4 works and Transmission shifts smooth The vehicle does however have a problem with a rough idle and the engine light is on, when scanned it comes up with "random misfire" in cylinder 1 I believe I dont want to spend more money on it, but it does run rough, especially on idle, but does feel too subside a bit at higher speeds I am selling it AS IS, but it does however have a valid Ontario safety certificate and the emission test is valid until february 2012 The tires are about 75% and other than the rough idle it is a great truck From what I have been told by talking to a couple of mechanics is that it could be anythng from just a simple tune up, to the worst case scenario which is that it needs a new (used) head, which will cost $100 for the part (at Rush's Auto Parts) plus labour (depending on your mechanics shop rate) at 5 or 6 hours And as an alternative, and an extreme worst case scenario a new (used) engine I have found for $350 plus of course labour to install The vehicle does run and drive, and has no issues hitting 130 km/h on the highway If you are interested in Importing it to the USA, from my understanding it is not difficult to do, you may or may not have to pay 2% duty in it, depending on the customs officer you get, and all you have to do is show up at the border with a bill of sale and the ownership (title) and you are good to go. Unfortunately from what I have been told, as US citizen or resident must cross it over and pay the duties, and I CANNOT do this for you, as I am a CANADIAN citizen. I am willing to help if you need my assistance, I can deliver it to the Canadian side of the border if you wish (for a minial fee) or anywhere within the GTA or sourrounding areas, or obtain a temporary permit if you are from outside Ontario ($35 for 10 days) but ultimately the responsibility is yours to make the arrangements. Please do your due diligence and ask any questions before bidding, not once the auction is over $500 deposit required within 24 hours, and full payment within 3 days ANY questions and I am happy to respond My Loss is YOUR gain!!! I bought another truck so for the mechanically inclined, or someone who has a good and cheap mechanic to go to, this is a great truck
