1968 Mercedes 600 Grand Limo this car was owned by a ambassador who only drove the car to and from San Francisco and Sacramento was always kept in a dry climate has always been a California car since shipped from Germany. It is a US version the car was running terrific until the previous owner had the fuel injection pump token out of the car had shipped to Germany and had it rebuilt since then the previous owner has passed away and the car was sitting for six years that is when I came across the vehicle and purchased it . I have tried to locate a old-school Mercedes mechanic to have the work done on the vehicle there is not too many Mercedes mechanics that work on these types of vehicles today so I have had the car at a place called Los Gatos autohuas in Los Gatos California for the last six months he has finally put the fuel injection pump back into the vehicle ordered a new distributor set the points had new plugs and wires put into it it is missing a few more parts to get the car in running condition at this point I am pretty much done with the vehicle that's why I am offering it for sale because I no longer want to deal with the headache of restoring this vehicle I was after this vehicle for period of 10 years before I purchased the car from the previous owners son the car does have all necessary parts to have the car completed. We have all the wood trim pieces the car is complete the car is rust free as to the condition of the air suspension. I cannot say that it is in working condition or that it is and not working condition but if I was to restore the vehicle I would definitely rebuild the air suspension on the vehicle . I know that before the car was sitting for the period of six years that it was working fine I used to look at the previous owner driving the car on a daily basis without any problems i am selling the car in it's as is condition this car is for someone who knows these types of cars and can do the work them self or know someone who can do it for them as a reasonable price great for someone to fix it and make a great profit or for someone who has a love for them and will fix it and drive it and enjoy it in any situation you cannot go wrong at the asking price I have looked around and I have seen people asking $5000 for a door $2500 for a rear bumper this car is probably worth more in parts than what I am asking for it so I am also attaching a Photobucket link so you can view more pictures of the http://s1094.photobucket.com/albums/i450/1968mercedes600grandlimo/ please ask all quistions before bidding car is sold as is car is avalible to see any time i do reserve the right to end end auction at any time i am taking offers so e-mail offers car has a low reserve
