Description 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 Z71 4Dr Truck. LOADED!!! All Original! Has a powerful 5.3 vortec v-8, 4WD, leather seats, full power options, cruise, tilt and a/c. No accidents! Engine runs strong, transmission shifts smooth, clean in and out. Good tires. Cold A/C and more… Body is good condition except for some minor dings and scratches I purchased this this Avalanche in 2003 as the second owner, and used this vehicle to commute my 140 miles daily round trip to work. This vehicle has proved extremely reliable over the years, and continues to run strong. Condition This Avalanche is in very good condition. However, as with almost any vehicle this age with this many miles, there are some minor issues that should be pointed out to potential buyers for their up-front consideration. All known issues are listed below: Issues Body – Minor dings and scratches Interior – Minor wear Cracked windshield – The windshield is cracked Ratcheting sound – Rarely, when first accelerating from slow speed, something from the front end makes a ratcheting sound for a few seconds then the noise goes away. I had planned to get this checked out, but the occurrences are too infrequent to demonstrate to a mechanic. Service Engine Soon Light –Stays illuminated. The Avalanche runs fine. Brake / ABS System Warning Light – Has been infrequently lighting up for over a year (sensor??). The Brakes work fine. Driver’s side mirror – Several years ago I broke the driver’s side mirror with a pressure washer. I tried an inexpensive stick-on replacement, which over time didn’t prove to be a good choice. The inexpensive replacement surface is no longer very reflective. Cassette Tape Drive – This device is not connected internally. I tried to install this unit but was unable to route the sound through the OnStar radio system.
