VEHICLE STORED 34 YEARS - NOW RUNNING & DRIVABLE I am an 82 year-old retired college professor and my neighbor Tim is helping me to list this car because his computer skills are better than mine, plus I've never listed anything on Ebay. I bought the Caddy from my neighbor back in 1977. He was the original owner and I immediately stored the car so it's fair to say that's it is a 2-Owner car although I have never registered nor driven the car, My intention, of course, was to shine her all up and then drive around town in America's FIRST FRONT-WHEEL-DRIVE vehicle with the 472 cubic inch V-8 engine and a "Turbo Hydra-matic" (FWD) transmission. The reality, after three children, a bunch of grandchildren and many thousands of hours in the classroom and doing agricultural research trips around the world, was that the Caddy never did get out of that garage until last week (see fotos of Flatbed picking it up). Of course I had removed the battery and always kept air in the tires - but nonetheless there she sat for the next THIRTY-FOUR YEARS !! My mechanic drained the old oil cold so as not to foul the engine with 34-year-old oil. Then he filled up the crankcase - warmed up the engine - drained the oil again and re-filled the crankcase with a second batch of new oil. The motor runs great and the car starts great. The car is drivable however the front brakes will need some work to be perfect. Thank you in advance for your bid.
