Vehicle Detail
Nice '63 F100 with only 59,900 actual miles (certified from previous owners). Started out as a barn find in New Mexico. Was a stock 6 cylinder, 3 on the tree farm truck. Sitting for nearly 20 years showning only 4,897 miles (along with the farmer's 65 Mercury Marauder with only 9,837 miles on it). Sat in the barn under cover until purchased by the second owner. He parted out the Mercury, pulled the 390 V-8, transmission, and floor shifter and put them in this truck in 1968. No rot or rust. Very few pin size to dime size dings here and there. You really have to stare to find any imperfections. I bought the truck in 2010 and had my local mechanic re-do the valves, rebuild the carb, redo the brakes and master cylinder, and make sure she starts every time. The 390 V-8 is quite powerful and mean sounding thanks to a modified exhaust. A lot of motor for a light truck. Stock 2 barrel carb means it's easy on gas unless you hit it hard. Grey Power (driver's) Leather Bucket seats, new carpet, AM/FM Kenwood CD player with a MTX Thunder 250X amp and Kenwood 6X9's in the doors. Sounds great, no whine. Fires right up everytime. Battery is strong and charges correctly. Headlights (no brights), tail lights, blinkers, and running lights all work correctly. Windows roll up and open properly. Gas guage is not hooked up, but can be. Wood floor bed. Toolbox has been converted to an ice chest with drains out through the wood floor! Window and door seals are worn and should be replaced. This is a fun truck that someone could have fun with as is. With a little work it could be a show quality truck. I'm not driving it enough to do it justice. Low reserve. Feel free to ask me any questions. On Dec-21-11 at 04:35:47 PST, seller added the following information: ***RESERVE LOWERED*** Take me home for X-Mas!!!
