1998.5 FORD CONTOUR SVT E1 Edition NUMBER 5418 OF A BUILD OF 6535 BLACK WITH MIDNIGHT BLUE LEATHER INTERIOR THE CAR HAS ONLY 77K I brought the car from a seller in NJ the car was side swiped by a UPS truck pushing in the two passenger's doors. UPS paid the original owner off and listed a severe damage I put two doors off another black Contour SVT looks great. I gave the car to My mother who drove it back and fourth to work about 25 miles a day. She can't drive standard transmission any more hurts her back. I have lot's off records on the car. The Engine was replaced with a factory long block from ford Part # F8RZ6006ERM at 37k. The clutch was replaced last year with a factory clutch there are no grinds in the transmission shifts perfectly. The damper was replaced, Tires are OK maybe one more season. Paint is OK it shines but there are light spots. the back bumper is faded and the hood has white speckles. at the dusk the car look perfect. The rear taillight has a small crack in it. I think I might have another one to replace it I will check this weekend in the garage if not Sorry. Fun car to drive. I had a 1998 and did a lot off mods and sold it 6 years ago to a person on Contour.ORG. The car is inspected ready to go. I did notice the front Spring has a crack in it. So I would replace that when you go to get it inspected. There is no radio my mom left the car open and somebody took it out. She didn't care because she doesn't listen to the radio anyway. The car isn't perfect but it's a great daily driver. The SVT group at Ford created a very special car in the SVT Contour, always fun to drive. We'll miss this car when it's sold. The car will come with it's SVT build certificate and a original SVT Contour sell sheet.
