I bought this 5 years ago from a cop in the Tri-Cities, Washington. He stated he was the second owner, and that it had been garaged all the time. He said when he got it there was 900 miles on the speedo. He put on 200 miles. Something fell on the speedo glass (OK, I know it is clear plastic, but everyone calls it glass), and broke it. He did not want to sell it without a speedometer, and the only one he could come up with had 4500 miles on it. You can tell that the color of the speedo does not match the tach. I have no reason to doubt his story, based on the condition of the bike. I put 443 miles on it. That is how I come up with the 1500 miles. It has been sitting in my garage for the past 3 years. The seat is near mint, no cracks or rubs. The tank and paint is excellent. The chrome guard on the muffler has a few minor scratches. The tires are excellent. It has a new battery. This is as nice as you will find. You could take it right now, and stick it in a collectors motorcycle show. After I took the pics, I went to start it. It had not been started in 2 days, and it fired right up on the second crank. The tag on the frame is dated 8/73. This is not perfect, but from 10 feet it looks new. There are a few scratches and rubs to the black painted frame, and the rims, but not bad. It is nice. I am asking $2500, which is a fair price considering its condition.
