For sale is my beautiful 1977 R100S. 41K original miles. Bike has matching numbers. Its in fantastic condition and really is one of the most beautiful airheads you'll find anywhere .It was restored in 2002 after being in an accident where the front forks were bent. They were replaced with the forks from a 1976 R90S. All work was done by well respected BMW mechanic Mark Gardiner of Recommended Service in San Francisco. Too much to list, but I have the complete service records from the original purchase to present. Some highlights are as follows: 2002: Black paint with white pinstripes by well known BMW pin striper James Race. Red was the only color available in th U.S. in 1977, but black was available in Europe. BMW's really should be black. Gas tank is perfect with very little wear elsewhere. New fork and wheel bearings New cables, carb sync,valve adjustment 2004; New Avon tires front and rear at 36K. Good tread but minor checking due to age. New stock BMW seat cover by John Longo. 2006: New timing chain New clutch New battery. Its been on a Battery Tender its whole life and is in good shape. New Dyna III 2006- present. I put about 500 miles a year on this bike because I have several other bikes. I do an oil change every season.
