Up for sale is a 1965 Pontiac Lemans /GTO tribute Convertible. I purchased this car about a year ago from a guy in SC who had it parked in his garage and off of the road since 1981. Looking at the car you can tell that it has never been driven much, it has the original seats with no rips, the tires are Poly-glass from the 70's, the steering is still tight etc... The previous owner was going to restore it and never got around to completing the project, fortunately in the early 80's he was able to locate a few junked GTO's and remove some of the important items such as the hood, steering wheel, badges, door panels, grill, tail panel's, gauges, wiring harnesses, 3 sets of grills, 3 oem radiators, 4bl carb and much more "see photos". Most of the parts seen in the photos are extras and someone could sell them separate for several thousand from what I have researched on ebay. There was very little rust in the car due to the 30 years in storage but what was there I had removed and replaced with steel replacement panels, also the engine was removed detailed as seen in the photos. At this point has been primed and blocked several times and will take very little to be ready to paint. The body work was going great until the guy's wife left him, after that it came to a stop, I have since moved the car into storage and have lost interest. The car WILL NEED SOME WORK but it is a excellent start and with all of the oem GTO parts that go with it it will be easy to make a good gto clone. NOTE: I had the gauges removed and the dash repainted, the gauges have been re-installed and they are in good shape however in the photo they are covered in sanding dust.
